Josie and David’s wedding was one that I’ll definitley remember for a long time. The two of them met in Düsseldorf, Germany, which is basically my “German home” since many of my relatives live there. So I already felt a connection with them before we even met :) And when we did meet a few months before their wedding to discuss deails, it was like meeting friends. Josie and David are a warm-hearted and fun couple and have the absolute cutest daughter!
They told me how they wanted their wedding day to be relaxed, ecological and filled with lots of time to chat with family and friends. And that’s exactly how it turned out to be: Their ceremony was organized and led by their friends and family who knew their story and managed to tell it in a way that was both fun and extremely touching. I think almost everyone had tears well up in their eyes at some point or another (yup, me too). That’s one of the reasons why I am such a big fan of such ceremonies that don’t follow fixed rules but are designed to fit the couple: The whole wedding just gets so much more personal and emotional!
After a short reception with a gorgeous and scrumptious candybar in the beautifully and tastefully decorated Hotel Engimatt the guests made their way to closeby Belvoir Park - on foot or by E-TukTuk (remember, Josie and David put an emphasis on having a “green” wedding), where there were lawn games and drinks waiting for them while we took formal shots in the beautiful park. Everyone seemed to totally enjoy themselves and it felt more like a relaxed time with really well-dressed friends instead of a wedding :D If I had to summarize this wedding in three words they’d be: emotional, laid-back and romantic!
