During the week, I also often photograph civil weddings. Patricia and Etienne, for example, decided to not have a huge wedding party but instead to celebrate with a small group of their loved ones. They invited them all to the civil ceremony, had a quick drink afterwards before cotinuing on to have dinner to celebrate their becoming Mr&Mrs.
Being from Baden myself, it’s always an especially nice thing when couples ask me to photograph their wedding here. I know so many places in this city and yet there’s always new things to discover. With Patricia and Etienne, we met up for a quick couple’s shoot in Baden’s gorgeous Old Town before walking up to their friends and family at the registry office. Like so often in 2019, the weather was pretty warm and not only did the two of them cool down in a fountain on the way to the civil ceremony, the bride also made pretty good use of the fan she had brought :)
To get his bride to the reception, Etienne had the honor of pedaling her to a nearby park on a trike that had been especially decorated for the occasion. It looked incredibly cute but I don’t envy Etienne, considering the scorching temperatures! But it definitely made for some amazing photos along the way :)
