Nadja & Marcel
Oh, what a wedding! I remember meeting Nadja and Marcel for the first time. We got something to drink and I told them to let me know once they’d decided whether they wanted me to be their photographer or not. I took the tram to get to the station and before exiting it, I’d already recieved a text confirming the booking. The two of them were so sweet and I was giddy already, although their wedding was still a year away.
Fast forward to this year and another text from the two just a few weeks short of their wedding: Nadja and Marcel told me that they were expecting. And since when they do something, they go full in, they are having twins. What happy news to get! I couldn’t wait to make even more special memories for Marcel and his and bride- and mom-to be.
When the day came, I got to the Hotel Vitznauerhof where both of them were getting ready. While the girls were prepping in the suite and toasted with alcohol-free champagne, the guys did what guys do and took shots of some harder stuff while eating a club-sandwich they had ordered. It was so much fun with all of them (not just because I also got a shot out of it)! Preparations are always something truly special to witness because of all the emotions slowly building up. Those emotions unloaded when Nadja and Marcel saw each other for the first time down at the lake. Such a wonderful moment!
Next came the beautiful ceremony, held by Simone from lovelywords, who is also an old friend of the bride. There was laughter, there were tears and above all the day was full of happy moments. Up until a few hours prior to the wedding we hadn’t been sure whether the ceremony could be held outside but thankfully, Nadja and Marcel decided to go for it and have it at the shore of the lake. It turned out to be a truly wonderful day with just enough clouds for it not to become too hot.
Everyone was absolutely relaxed, Nadja and Marcel both looked stunning and the love between the two was evident in all the looks they exchanged. This was definitely an absolute gem of a wedding and I’m happy to have been able to shoot a wedding at this stunning location once again. Hopefully, it wasn’t the last time :)
